Archaeopteryx, is a genus of bird-like dinosaurs that is transitional between non-avian feathered dinosaurs and modern birds. Based directly on the seminal discovery made in a German quarry just a couple of years after Darwin published his theory of evolution.

this is a direct cast of that specimin and the one we based our in-situ sculpture on.
